Ingres TO Oracle port

Hi,

I am trying to port embedded SQL code from Ingres to Oracle Pro C. I have questions on the SQLDA one-to-one mappings of the structure - I am assuming from what I read Oracle has two descriptors - one for bind and one for select and Ingress has only one. We are trying to port the code so it works for both Oracle and Ingres and the more I read I think that will be tough to do.

If anybody has done any porting of applications that use dynamic SQL written for Ingres to work for Oracle please reply so I can then bombard you with a bunch of questions I have :).
