Hi cracks,

I need your advice.

I want to build a topology with one remote Oracle 8 server (NT) and 30 clients (Win95). They are connected to the server over a WAN. It's not yet sure whether the clients will have their own local database to which data is replicated or if the clients will be steadily connected to the server.

(1) Do I need a steady connection for data replication or is there a way
to have a dial-up connection on demand?
(2) How fast should the connection be (in MBit/s)
(3) Which hardware is needed to connect the 30 clients to the server
physically?
(4) Is there an affordable way to realize the data exchange between
server and client over the internet?

thank you
