Solaris 2.6 does indeed support files larger than 2GB, but many Unix
utilities do not (e.g. compress, gzip, etc.). So you may be able to create
one, but working with it could be another matter. Anyway, smaller files
tend to work better for parallelizing backup/restores, etc.
