According to Oracle Magazine the book can be obtained for at a 25% discount off the $99.99 price by calling 1.888.ORACLE extension 33 (also 25% off the exam fee -- valid thru 12/31/1998).
I just got this book recently. They told me it would ship in 3 weeks but I got it in 2 weeks.
It has some Oracle 8 stuff in it:
Chapter 21: Oracle8: Partitioning Tables and Indexes (begins page 995) Chapter 22: Oracle8: New Features and Object Relational Design (begins pp. 1045) Chapter 23: Oracle8: Parallel DML, LOBs and Advanced Queuing (begins pp. 1097) Chapter 24: Oracle8: Using Recovery Manager (begins pp. 1147) Chapter 25: Oracle8: Networking, Security, and Migration (begins page 1191) (ends on page 1226)
Each chapter has chapter summary, two minute drill, chapter questions, answers to chapter questions.
Don't know how well it will apply to Oracle 8 test though.
This is obviously a first edition book.
I'm only on chapter 2 but find many mistakes in chapter 1 between the SQL statements and the output that the book says will be produced.
On the other hand its a good exercise (for newbies like me) to figure out what went wrong and to fix the SQL statement to produce the output shown in the book!
Hope the rest of the book goes better.
