The type of platform isn't really important although Oracle is developed on Solaris machines, the nported to the other environments (apart from NT of course)
One important hing to bear in mind is that 7.3 is *NOT* delivered with Froms 3.0 and/or RPT.
So you need 7.1 on some machine your terminals are hooking up to and go from that *pseudo* client to your 7.3 database server via SQL*Net 2
