Oracle 8.0 Demo

Hi,

I am new to this news group. Myabe someone has already asked it (in that case I am sory).

I have downloaded the evaluation version of Orcale 8.0 and the patches.

I am not formiliar with datbase servers at all.

So after installing how can I test everything runs just fine. I have tied to login with the enterprice manager with username INTERNAL and password ORACLE and service name ORCALE. But that seems not to work.

Apperently I do something wrong here.

What I would like to do I have a JAVA server application that needs to communicate with a ORACLE Database server. I need to in stall ODBC but I do not know what to fill in.

Need some help here
