At my company we have Oracle technicians on cite, and unfortunately they are not very good about notifying DBAs about issues like that until we come across a problem. The 10/99 date was given to me by those technicians. We have no CSI numbers to contact the Oracle Worldwide support directly, so we have to fumble our way through these problems ourselves. Thats how our company "saves" money :-). Thank you for your input.
