V$ACCESS table - how current is the data

It sounds like a silly question in that the V$ tables typically represent only current data, but are the object listed in the V$ACCESS table currently locked by a single statement, or have locks held since the beginning of a transaction? The Oracle documentation that I have is rather vague. I am trying to get a good read on who is using what and am snapping the contents of V$ACCESS into another table for analysis.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks. Received on Thu Jul 16 1998 - 15:25:29 CDT
