Oracle Explain Plan ORDER column

Can anyone explain (no pun intended) to me in simplistic terms how to interpret the order sequence column in an Explain Plan.

example:

ORDER

 0-0-0
 1-0-1
 2-1-1
 3-2-1
 4-1-2
 5-4-1
 6-5-1
 7-5-2
