We've gotten Delphi 3 to work with Oracle 8, with the Oracle 7 & 8 drivers. We had to set the vendor init string to OCIW32.DLL, or ORA802.DLL, and it worked fine, much faster than when we were using the V7 drivers. The only thing that won't work, and what has been added in D4 is support for the new object extensions to SQL that have been added in Oracle 8. Mike Mormando BEST Consultants
