Can anybody tell of their experiences using the dbms_job package in oracle7.3.3. I currently have four timed jobs setup in this manor and they keep spawning snp processes which run round hammering cpu. Being from a UNIX backgroud I would prefer to use the cron especially if I can't control these snp processes.

Any comments welcome
