Hi Umar,
How about when you are in the process of upgrading from one version to another. It is nice to have multiple databases so that you don't run the risk of blowing away the production data base. (This applies even when you have a development machine to work with -- since it just isn't prudent to swtich over your production work unless you have a fallback procedure in place.)
