We've had trouble with DU 4.0A and Oracle 7.1.4.1.x

  1. When we set shmmax to anything but default, SGA wouldn't allocate. No solve for this.
  2. CDE got totaly stuck, we had to switch to old Motif GUI
  3. svrmgrm wouldn't start even under Motif GUI with "Oracle toolkit error".

For these reasons we are still running 3.2G which has some nasty admin bugs.
