you understood correctly (You have to opologize my english.. ;-))



Thanks a lot for your help, the hint "Oracle Transparent Gateways",
followed by a search on oracles website was successfull.
There are many gateways to different databases (in terms: 32)
available (e.g. ODBC, DB2400 etc.).
