Object-relation databases

Hello everybody,

my name is Marco Koch and I'm a student in computer science. I started with databases eight years ago.

The next days I might begin with my masterthesis. The topic is migrating a database from the relational model to the object-relational model. (ORACLE7 to ORACLE8) My main interest in the masterthesis is in the area of data modelling.

Does anybody have some recources in migrating a database from relational to object-relational?

Since I'm new with object-relational databases I would appriciate also any recources that deals only with object-relational design issues.
