Hi all-

I recently upgraded my Oracle 7.3.3 database runnint on Solaris 2.6 to 8.0.3 . I immediately started haveing problems where my log writer would crash taking down the database. This seemed to be related to 8.0.3 being much less tolarant of hardware hiccups, as this specific problem went away when I mirrored my redo logs.

I have been plagued by similar problems since then. I have thoughaly checked my hardware, and datafiles. Oracle support has scratched it's head and and shrugged.... I am at my wits end and am hoping that an upgrade to Oracle 8.0.4 will solve my problems.

Will version 8.0.4 introduce more problems? If so, how severe?

Thanks for you time-
