Recently Hewlett Packard ported their AutoRaid system to NT. It has been native to HP-UX for sometime. It's a hardware solution where Raid 5 and mirroring are combined into one storage system. The storage system dynamically moves data between the two environments based on demand. For data accessed frequently, the AutoRaid will place the data in the mirrored section and conversely move less accessed data to the Raid 5 area. As the demands on certain data changes - so does it's Raid placement. In the HP-UX world, HP now uses the AutoRaid for all its TPC certifications - where the highest TPC rating is the goal against the competition.
We haven't used the NT version yet in our business but have many Oracle installations going very well in the HP-UX area. Kinda the best of both Raid worlds.
