Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Re: Oracle for Unix versus Windows-NT
Dear Ceje
We have now for half a year experience with Oracle 7.3 on windows NT. From 1992 we use Oracle (6.0.36 -> 7.1.6) on UNIX (Bull and SCO). The functionality is equal, but some software components you have to adjust (like SQL programs, IMP/EXP scripts). Forms 3.0 (character) does not run on NT. Sqlnet 1 is not supported.
Our overall experience is good, Installing is much easier. Cost are lest or equal. You need more internal memory then Unix (because of NT instead of Unix). Stability of ORACLE on NT is equal then UNIX. Received on Thu Feb 26 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
