Hi , Are u a seasoned VMS campaigner ? Even if not, Oracle itself has provided backup and restore scripts on VMS. And they are very good too. You can have your schedule for Hot backup, Cold Backup and the complete export. Each backup process creates a command file for the database recovery also. The location of the sample backup scripts is ORA_ROOT:[RDBMS.DEMO.BACKUP_DEMO] Check the scripts here and make ur modifications. They work fine for us. And hope u don't have to do the recovery.....
