Legato Backup server vs Arcserver

I am new to the oracle database server and their products so I was reading the install instructions for Oracle 7.3 befor trying to install the server. I noticed that they recommend Legato as the backup/dump solution. However, when we ordered the NT box we also ordered Arcserver per the recommendation of the NT manager as a backup solution.

I was wondering if anybody could give me arguments for Arcserver or against Arcserver.
