I've seen this on HP. If you're not using asynchronous I/O, the resource in question is probably DBWR. We cleared up these errors by running multiple DBWR processes. Be aware, though, of a 7.2.3 bug that can cause data corruption if you RESIZE a datafile while running multiple DBWRs. You need to add datafiles to add space to a tablespace.
