Backup Utilities

We have a serious problem with SQL-BackTrack with HP Omniback devie backups: HP dropped support for its old version of Omniback utility called omnistream, on which SQL-BackTrack depend to talk to Omniback.

Our old version of Omniback 2.1 often has a mount request problem, which requires human interventions.

We looked at other options for backup and recovery:

1. Oracle Enterprise backup utility
2. EMC's EDM system
3. Possiblity of SQL-Backtrack with Legato Networker or IBM's ADSM

We like SQL-Backtrack's automatic recovery procedures as well as its compression on the fly during backups.

I would like to know your experience and info concerning what utilities you use and future plans for Oracle backup/recovery
