Japanese SJIS on NT

Has anyone successfully built an Oracle 7.x database on NT using the JA16SJIS character set and, more important, were you able to store SJIS characters in the database? I have been able to build the database and install a schema using typical ASCII characters, but at the moment I try to do anything using extended 16-bit characters, the database does not store them properly.

My setup:

  1. *JA.MSB files copied to the appropriate directories on hard drive
  2. NLS_LANG set to JAPANESE_JAPAN.JA16SJIS in registry
  3. NLS_LANGUAGE set to Japanese in init.ora file
  4. NLS_TERRITORY set to Japan in init.ora file

Thanks,
