I have installed oracle on our machine. I am able to login to sqlplus from oracle account (which is the owner of the software). But I am not able to login to sqlplus from other accounts.
I am trying to use on the same machine. It is not over the network. The SID and ORACLE_HOME parameters are set appropriately on both the accounts.
It gives the following error when I login from other accounts on the same machine:
ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-07318: smsget: open error when opening sgadef.dbf file.
SVR4 Error: 13: Permission denied
What do I need to do to be able to login from other accounts.
I have a file sgadefece.dbf (Our SID is ece) in dbs directory and when I do ipcs -m it shows the following:
IPC status from <running system> as of Wed Oct 1 09:56:02 1997
T ID KEY MODE OWNER GROUP CREATOR CGROUP
Shared Memory:
m 1 0x0810cf2a --rw-r----- oracle users oracle users
Thanks.
