you need to run those .exe programs from a "DOS prompt". the oracle books don't tell you things like that. i think they're mainly written with unix folks in mind.

good luck. i'm struggling right along with you. i'd love the luxury of going to a class. i'm sure we're in similar boats with regard to that.
