Help!! tns-12560

I have a test wan environment where I test various links (56k). I took one of my servers from the production network and placed It onto the remote network. From the prod. I can ping the server and everything works fine, so the link is up and the gateways seem to be working. When I try to tnsping the server I receive a tns-12560, only from the production network through the routers to the server. I can successfully tnsping from a station on the remote network. What am I doing wrong???
