Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Tnsping for NT4.0
Hi I'm trying to do the command
tnsping pclm, pclm is the name of a database.
This command works from an UNIX maschine, but when I try it from NT
4.0 I get the message:
TNS Ping Utility for 32-bit Windows: Version 2.3.2.1.0 - Production on
14-AUG-97 17:50:00
Copyright , 1996(c) Oracle Corporation 1995. All rights reserved.
Attempting to contact
(ADDRESS=(COMMUNITY=tcp.world)(PROTOCOL=TCP)(Host=harrier)(Port=1521))
TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
I can connect to the database though from sqlplus using the normal sqlnet 2.3.2.1 client.
Would be interested to know if someone has got any ideas about this.
