dbms_output.Put_line() work in SQLPlus??

Does dbms_output work in SQLPlus?  I have it running with Personal
Oracle7 under Win95.  I have set serveroutput ON and am trying to
output a message but nothing happens.  



The only thing I could think of is that it doesn't work with Windows.
