Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Re: web access to oracle 7 database
Its been a while since I set my webserver, but I believe the major steps are:
i.e http://myserver:80/owa_X/owa/Y where X = dcd name, Y = pl/sql procedure name.
During this process, you will have to map it to a user's schema, you can
also install
the PL/SQL samples and kit in that user's schema.
If you have a schema browsing tool, look at the schema of the userid to
which the admin listener
is mapped, you will be able to see the stored procedures there.
4. SQL statements are not kept anywhere but in PL/SQL procedures.
5. Your SQL programmer should use a PL/SQL tool such as Oracle's
Procedure Builder (yuck!!)
or third party slick tools such as SQL Navigator etc...
When the admin listener is created and PL/SQL samples installed, they
are installed in a
user's schema. If you can get permission from that user, you can change
the PL/SQL
Hope that works for you, Pity with such a neat product, Oracle could
have provided better
documentation...:)
