If the two machines *both* have access to the disks *and* the migration can be handled by your UNIX OS then yes it is possible. You'll also have to swap the ip addresses of the nodes over to keep the networking access working.

I've used HP's Switchover product on HP-UX based systems to do this in the past for mirrored drives shared by two CPUs. NB. this type of switch is cheap and completely automatic, but there is a period of downtime while the standby machine reboots with the configuration that was running on the primary machine (including Oracle). If you want somethng transparent you'll have to look at clustering or the like, which can prove a lot more expensive.
