Rene,
We are using triggers on our snapshots (7.3.2.3) and it works fine. One thing to keep in mind: Use refresh FAST when creating your snapshot. If you use FORCE and a complete snaphot refresh takes place, your trigger will fire for all rows (again) and this may not be the desired effect.
