I wouldn't do that. Even though they haven't yet deploied to many of their Universal Server it is a product far in front of anything Oracle have or will have for quite some time. It's fasilities are very usefull both in OLTP and datawarehouse environements. True Informix have mostly emphazised it's ability to handle new and fancy datatypes. However new ways of handling existing datatypes are at least as interesting. As a big shop these people should be able to get their hands on the Universal Server to try it out.
