Can sql*loader read from pipes?

Hi,

I have a perl script that generates lots of data that I wish to copy into an Oracle table. I seem to cannot use INSERT as the data is too long (> 2000 characters). An idea would be to output the data on stdout (or any socket) and have SQL*Loader reading from stdin (or any socket). Can that be done?

        Thanks for your help, Gerhard.
