Oracle Will Not Initialize the Data Base during install

Oracle will not initialize the data base during the intall. The error
message returned during the create phase is:



ORA-07331: smsnsg: unable to allocate the variable portion of the SGA.
Additional information: 4   



Platform=Solaris 2.5.1


Oracle=7.3.2



Any help would be >greatly< appreciated.
