Versions 7.3.2.1 and 7.3.2.2 on some platforms ( AIX in my case ) contain a
new Common Trace feature that is buggy.  Over time, some traceing files
under $ORACLE_HOME/otrace/admin grow large ( over 5-8 MB ) and cause both
connect and query response to suffer.  Oracle sent a document to me
describing the temporary fix for the problem.  If you would like this
document let me know.
