As far as I know v1 and v2 can co-exists, but v1 is not supported in Oracle
7.3



Serveral people have been able to get it to run, but it is not a supported
configuration.  Any chance of installing v2 on your Unix box???? v1 was
de-supported quite some time ago so you should be moving to migrate off of
v1.
