Problem with Oracle Pro*C Precompiler

Hi,
 I am facing a serious problem with the Oracle 7.3.2 Pro*C Precompiler Rel  2.2.2.0.0 on HP-UX 10.0.
It gives a Memory fault (coredump) with some .PC files. I could temporary  solve this problem by splitting the program into more than one file.  Another solution was by first running the C Macro preprocessor on the .PC  File and then taking the output of the
macro preprocessor as input file to the Pro*C Precompiler. But then the  basic problem remains of why the Pro*C Compiler is unable to precompile the file on its own. I tried various precompiler  options, but to no effect.
If anyonehas faced a similar problem or knows what is wrong , pl. advise Thanks
