You can consider SimbaExpress as well. Besides supporting Level 2 ODBC functions and asynchronous processing, SimbaExpress also has the advantages including simple client install, server-to-server communication, fault resilience, OLE-DB compatibility, and low maintenance/administration after initial setup.
