Company/Department Summary:
This position reports to Our Client's Corporate Finance business unit, specifically to the Corporate Finance Information Technology (CFIT) group. This unit is responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing corporate finances for Our Client's corporate. CFIT focuses on providing technical solutions to the corporate finance community, and to those users distributed throughout the business units. CFIT supports the corporate financial applications (e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Payable, etc.).
Job Description:
Provide day-to-day support for Oracle Financials Release 11i applications. This is an ERP application with web client, Oracle Application Server middle tier, and Oracle 9i database. Installed modules will include General Ledger, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Projects and Fixed Assets. The candidate will support the configuration, installation, upgrading and maintenance of the core shared application components, which include database and file system objects and processes. This candidate must also support the application developers who customize and support the individual application modules, and interface with our operations support staff who support our production installations.
The candidate must have extensive DBA experience with Oracle DBMS (8i and 9i), preferably in a Sun Solaris or Redhat Linux environment. Also the candidate must be knowledgeable in Oracle Database Administration tools, and must be experienced in database performance analysis. Experience with packaged Oracle Applications (e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Payable, etc.) is required. Also required are excellent analytical and communication skills, plus the ability to work in a team environment, with multiple assignments. Experience working with technical development teams in an enterprise package implementation environment would be helpful. Knowledge of web deployed middle-tier technologies, particularly Oracle Application Server, is a required. Experience working in an 11i applications environment is required.
