Hi Daniel!
I didn't write something about version/os because it was an general
question.
I know that one tool does not solve all problems and the question was:
what kind of problems does it solve - with other words: wich kind of
problems to fix with the hammer (rman ;^)?
So the question is not about which exotic problems does it solve, but which typical problems can one solve with rman. One of the obvious answer: disc failure and this class of problems But are there other "typical" cases?
