I like Mark Powell's response to you so I won't repeat it. But, of course, knowing more about what you are doing would be a great help in offering advice.

The one thing you have bought, for certain, is improved employability prospects. Sybase, for better or worse, has a decreasing market share and the Oracle experience will be valuable on your resume'.
