Oracle Client 8.1.1

Hi,

I'm trying to install the Oracle 8i Client 8.1.7.0.0 on an Windows 2003 Server Webedition (new out-of-the-box installation, all Hotfixes) using the Oracle Universal Installer 2.2.0.18.0.

Now the installation always stops at 96 percent with the last message "kopiere sqora.hlp" but no error message. It simply happens nothing more. This file squora.hlp belongs to the Oracle ODBC Driver, so is there any known problem with Oracle ODBC Drivers on W2003?

Ive also tried installing the Oracle Client without the ODBC driver. In this try the installation freezes at the file "oidadmin.cl". So maybe its not the ODBC driver?!

There are also no errors at the System Eventlog, the Oracle installation - logfiles shows no error.

Anyone having any idea what could have went wrong?
