Ummmm ... perhaps because each partition is defined individually; each can be in it's own tablespace; there is no requirement (by Oracle) to have all partitions in the same tablespace; and a parittion is a 'base unit of management'? Received on Thu Apr 01 2004 - 12:32:27 CST
