i've studied on a project in which there were no option "delete cascade" on foreign keys but only instructions of deletions made manually and i have to reproduce the same construction of procedures in my present project

so i wondered if there was a question of performance behind

i prefer to use the option of deletion on cascade but i'm not sure i'm right
