Thanks for the advice. I'll probably look into Gnus on the Linux side of my life (although I never particularily liked Emacs, being a vi hack since the early '80s).

I'm down to 3 Windows machines (Win95 (mainly for mail/news); '98 ('cause my accountant insists on Windows-based accouting and there is no way I'll allow any mail/news on that machine); Win2Kp (for the Windows based Oracle tests/demos/classes)). All the rest are Linux or Solaris.

I've been thinking of moving the mail/news to a Linux box; just need time to convert the archives from Netscape Communicator into Oracle Collab Suite.
