That's correct. There is no dd-mon-year format. What oracle gives you is the
date format according to ISO8601 Section 5.2.1.3.
Please do not use dd-mon-year. If you can't use the ISO format, then change
the separators to something else, like periods or whatever is accepted in your
country.

Oh, and btw, cern.oracle is not a global group and comp.database.oracle doesn't exist.
