I'm having a problem printing reports from Oracle Applications through
an AIX printqueue to an HP printer.
Here is my environment:
HP LaserJet 8000 Printer
AIX 5.1 with the HP printer drivers loaded
Oracle Applications 11.5.7
I am trying to print landscape reports from Oracle Apps with 132 columns per page and 66 lines per page.
I have defined multiple printqueues on the AIX side. I've defined the printers as HPLJ8000s, HPLJ4SIs, HPLJ4s, remote, generic, etc. From AIX, I can print a test page to the printer with the proper formatting.
I believe that the problem is on the Oracle Apps side. When I go to define the printqueues with Oracle Apps, it does not give me HP LJ 8000 as an option. I've used HPLJ4SI, HPLJ4, HPLJ3SI, and HPLJ3; however, I can never get the formatting correct. I've tried to mess around with the initialization string (the PCL escape codes), and the 'lp' command but with no luck.
The best that I can get is landscape, 132 columns per page and 60
lines per page.
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks so much!
