If I understand you correctly, it might be worth trying to "Verify Database" while your report is open in the Crystal Report Designer (Accessed from the menu "Database" > "Verify Database"). This refreshes Crystal's 'knowledge' of the underlying tables and views. Then you should be able to insert any new fields into your report using the "Insert Fields" button.
