Scott/tiger is only installed if you selected the option during installation - I think that it is called demonstration schema?

On a new database, the users/passwords of sys/change_on_install and system/manager are created. You are expected to change these passwords once the database has been installed. You should *not* create anything within these schemas, but use system to create a new user and associated schema.

Time to get the manuals out!
