Hi ,
i installed Oracle 8i on my Linux Suse 7.0 (2.2.16) it works well.
But the installation procedure of Oracle Portal Oracle AS 9i brings up
the following
error:
at installation STEP 6:installWWV wwvinss.sql
create or replace type wwa_api_module * ERROR at line 1: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15456], [WWA_API_MODULE], [13], [7], [tdo generation], [], [], [] ORA-04031: unable to allocate 16396 bytes of shared memory

pool","unknown object","koh-kghu sessi","kopo object") ERROR: ORA-04031: unable to allocate 1936 bytes of shared memory

pool","unknown object","session heap","frame segment") Type created. ERROR: ORA-04031: unable to allocate 1936 bytes of shared memory

after that error many other errors comes up and finally the system (portal) doesnt work.
the current shmmax parameter is set by ( it is a 512 MB / 1Ghz Pentium III system)
echo 21474783647 > /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax
Any kind of hints is highly appreciated and many thanks in advance!
